Feeder Growers

Hello again! The children are doing fine. The girls have been placed on a feeding minimum. They get 35 mL of feed and if they are still wanting more, they get more. Collin is getting his normal amount (40 mL). He is having some trouble keeping his blood oxygen level up all the time. We have been concerned about little Collin. The neonatal nurse practitioner assured us that all the things Collin is experiencing are normal for preemies and that he will outgrow them. Poor Collin has the disadvantage of being compared to two sisters who seem to be doing very well. We are bottle feeding or (Kristy is) nursing each of them at feeding times unless they seem too tired to feed that way. If they are too tired, they have the feed dropped down their feeding tube. If Anniston can keep up taking her bottles, they may take out her feeding tube in the next several days.

We are currently in the process of interviewing pediatricians. If anyone knows of a good pediatrician on the west side that they can recommend, please leave us the name in a post.

Please continue to pray for our little ones, especially Collin.

With love,
JKABC

We go to Hendricks Pediatrics in avon and see Dr. Shawn Fenoughty he is really good, he has seen my son since he was born and he's now almost 5. There are 2 other really good Dr.'s in that practice I really like and know people who go to them, one is Dr. Emmick and the other is Dr. Botkin. Here's the phone number 272-7337.

Everyone seems to be doing really well. I am so pleased to hear the report about Collin's condition being normal for preemies and he will outgrow it. I believe that is the case and we just have to keep praying and knowing everything will be fine soon. We will trust in our dear Lord to keep His hands on them all. Love you all...Mom

We go to Avon Pediatrics, it's off of 36, between Dan Jones and 267. The doctor's name is Dr. Kerry Hensley, we've been very pleased with her. She's seen both of my girls since my oldest was about 4 and she's now 7. Dr. Hensley just added another doctor to her building, but I don't know much about her. Avon Pediatrics phone number is 272-7887. We do really like our doctor, but I have a friend who goes to Dr. Emmick and is very pleased with her as well. All are pediatricians. Best of luck, I know it's an important decision. We're praying for you guys.

We go to Hendricks Pediatrics too. We see Dr. Teresa Henderson. Emma really likes her. I have also heard the Dr. Botkin & Dr. Fenoughty are good. Good luck with finding a doc.

I asked my friend Meghan where she takes her daughter (she lives in Avon) and here is what she said ..

Her Dr. is Dr. Eve Gill (Dr. McEntire is also at the practice) it is
just the two of them. She is awesome! We love her, she is really
relaxed and doesn't make you feel mental for asking all kinds of questions.
The office is at Clarian West hospital at 10th and Ronald Reagan
Parkway. The number is 217-2900. They also have a nurse practitioner that
is great, she was really helpful when we were going through the reflux
thing. Hopefully that will help her! We just can't say enough good
things about her. I do not know the other doctor, but he did come see
Aubrey when she was born because Dr. Gill was on vacation, and he was
very nice and helpful. They also go to St. Vincents hospital too. I
hope she finds someone!

We see Theresa Henderson @ Hendricks Perdiatrics. Our three girls have known no other pediatrician for almost 8 years! She is warm, caring, very knowledgeable, and down to earth. We recommend her highly. The Nebergalls, Tullys, and Montanas also see her along with lots of other folks from Kingsway. Your babies are gorgeous! Praying for health and strength for your family!
Love,
The Notters

I highly recommend Dr. Shawn Fenoughty from Hendricks Pediatrics. Ethan was a preemie (31 weeks) and Dr. Fenoughty was great with him. He is very thorough and patient as he answered our many questions.
We are so glad that the babies are doing well and growing strong! They are such precious miracles. God is good! We are praying for all of you!

Our two boys have been with Dr. Gail Stotsky at IU Medical on 38th and I-465 since they were 6 & 7 and we have been very happy with her. She is a trip, in a good way! Very cheerful and very good with kids to the point, even now at 16 & 17, they have always been comfortable with her as their doctor.
